DJ Damien Paul is the creative force behind Boston’s prolific “So Dope” dance movement. His monthly residency at the infamous Rise Afterhours has exposed New England’s next generation of 18+ electronic music enthusiasts to world-class talent. He has played alongside national and international acts such as Hyphy Crunk, Passion Pit, Joe Bermudez, Paparazzi, Martyn, The Scumfrog, The Rapture and John Dahlback, just to name a few. Damien Paul is also the creator of “Middle School Dance”, a retro-themed dance party showcasing dance music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
He has earned a reputation for himself in New England’s competitive dance music scene, which has been highlighted by his performance at the Together Electronic Music Festival’s talent showcase. His sets have attracted the attention of household brands like Amstel Light and Saks 5th Avenue, which have earned him bookings at world-class events.
Musically, Damien Paul spans a wide range of dance genres; from techno and big-room house, to familiar new-wave and pop dance, his unique track selection keeps even the most fickle of crowds on their toes
